Mickey Mazurowski, RDN, LD, LPT
Owner of The Food Connection and Integrated Health and Wellness Center. Mickey is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian, Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant and Certified Personal Trainer. She attained a B.S. in Sports Injury Management and a B.S. in Nutrition from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Mickey has focused her nutrition career on cellular inflammatory response through food sensitivities which effects many auto-immune and thyroid conditions. Mickey has lectured on nutrition topics locally and internationally. Currently Mickey is the President- elect for the Nevada Dietetic Association and served the last 3 years as the Reimbursement Representative.
Molly Michelman, MS, RDN, LD
Owner of The Food Connection. Molly was on the faculty at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas for 17 years. In addition to The Food Connection, Molly provides consulting services for organizations such as Create a Change Now, Cooperative Extension, Barbara Greenspun WomensCare, Southern Nevada Health District, ProCare Hopice, Families for Effective Autism Treatment, and the Clark County School District. Molly holds the Certificate of Training in both Adult and Child Weight Management from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She has a degree in Nutrition from The Pennsylvania State University and an undergraduate degree in Theatre from Ithaca College.
Chelsea Poser, RDN, LD
Chelsea is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition Sciences from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Chelsea provides nutritional support to a wide variety of patients in all stages of life. She works with clients to provide them with the knowledge and skills needed to develop a healthy lifestyle, enabling them to achieve their nutritional goals. Chelsea also works as a clinical dietitian in the hospital setting and as an instructor at the College of Southern Nevada.
Christina Vergara, MS, RDN, LD (Se Habla Español)
Christina is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian who received her Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition Sciences from UNLV with a focus on Sports Nutrition as well as her Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology. Christina holds the Certificate of Training in Adult Weight Management from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She has worked with several triathletes and marathoners in fueling their training needs. She hosts several workshops on nutrition topics and provides consulting services to individuals looking to take control of their health and well-being. Christina is also a competitive marathon runner.
Martha Hernandez RDN, LD (Se Habla Español)
Martha is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian who graduated from UNLV with two Bachelors degrees: One in Nutrition Sciences with a Sports Nutrition concentration and the other in Kinesiological Sciences. She currently is a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and has been in this sport for about 8 years. She has competed and placed in several local tournaments as well as in IBJJF. She has worked with some amateur MMA fighters and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioners to help them make weight in a healthy manner without affecting performance. Martha has experience working with children and families in aiding them in adopting a healthy lifestyle.
Jennifer Trevino RDN, LD, CPT
Jennifer is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist who received a Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition Sciences from UNLV as well as a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from UNR. She is a Certified Personal Trainer and Pilates Instructor that has worked with populations of all ages and fitness levels for over 10 years. Jennifer strongly believes in the power of individualized nutrition and fitness regimes to learn how the science of the body works and how optimal eating can have a dramatic affect on body fat, lean muscle mass, hormonal balance, athletic performance, depression, and disease prevention.
Zen Huynh, RDN, LD (Speaks Tagalog)
Zen is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist. She received her Bachelor's degree in Nutrition Sciences from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and has a certificate in Advanced Nutritional Pain Management from the Academy of Integrative Pain Management. She is pursuing a specialization in integrative and functional nutrition to help patients enhance their overall health, prevent disease, and alleviate debilitating symptoms of chronic disease such as fibromyalgia, inflammation, and cancer. She believes that conventional medical treatment combined with mind-body modalities and complimentary medicine are key to the overall healing process. Zen is also a Patient Services Manager in the hospital setting.
